It started with one very good boy.

Hi, I’m Emily — a dog mom, a cat mom, and the heart behind Pawsypets. But before any of that, I was simply a girl who loved her dog more than almost anything in the world.

My boy Cooper came into my life and filled it with the kind of joy only a pet can give. Like so many pet parents, I was working a demanding full-time job, so every hour we spent together meant everything to me. He was my comfort after long days, my reason to smile.

One ordinary day, I ordered something for him from an online store. Nothing unusual — just another little something for my boy. I had no idea that one small order would change both of our lives.

Within days, Cooper began reacting to the material. His skin grew red and irritated, and then, heartbreakingly, he started losing his hair — patch by patch, until so much of his beautiful coat was simply gone. I was frightened and heartbroken. I couldn’t understand how something I’d bought to make him happy could be hurting him instead.

And I felt so helpless. I was still working those long hours, and I didn’t have nearly enough time to be by his side the way he needed me. As the days went on, Cooper only grew sicker. Watching him suffer — and feeling like I was failing the one who trusted me most — was the lowest point of my life.

Those quiet days of caring for Cooper, hour after hour, changed me. Slowly, he healed. And somewhere in that stillness, an idea took root. If a single careless product could do this to my dog, how many other pets were quietly suffering? How many other moms and dads were lying awake, terrified and blaming themselves, just like I had?

I couldn’t unsee it. And I couldn’t stay quiet.

That’s how Pawsypets was born — not in a boardroom, but on the floor beside a sick dog I loved with everything I had. I decided that if I was going to offer anything to another pet family, it would have to be something I’d trust with my own.

Today, Cooper is healthy, happy, and as full of mischief as ever — and along with my cat Luna, he’s the reason every product here has to pass the highest bar I know: would I give this to my own babies?
